Ardi began his career gaining a scholarship for a post-graduate masters degree (LL.M) in international law at King’s College and University College London before specializing in data and marketing, culminating in the leading work on the subject, Essential Law for Marketers. In 2003, he was independently ranked in the top 50 thinkers in the world on marketing by the Chartered Institute of Marketing and is the author of several leading works for the Financial Times, Sport Business, Butterworth Heineman, Routledge and others.

Ardi Kolah is a well-known data protection and privacy consultant and guided Hitachi Consulting to become the first FTSE company to achieve BS10012:2017 (Personal Information Management System) that sits at the centre of its compliance of the GDPR.

Most recently, Ardi has been the DPO (Europe) for Hitachi Consulting as well as undertaking a major project for the National Breast Screening Programme on behalf of Public Health England.  Ardi Kolah is also an Executive Fellow of Henley Business School where he was director of the GDPR Programme that attracted senior managers from some of the world’s leading organisations, including Accenture. Ardi Kolah is also the founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Data Protection & Privacy, which has a global community of more than 2,500 professionals and he’s invited to speak and chair at events all over the world including JP Morgan, International Corporate Health Leadership Council, and the European Risk Management Council. In 2018, Ardi Kolah joined the Advisory Council of the Digital Marketing Institute of USA alongside senior executives from Facebook, Google, Coca-Cola, The Economist Group, AccuWeather, LinkedIn, Santander, DirectLine Group, IAB, HubSpot and many others.
